Life At Camp
Accommodation
We have a range of accommodation options - from self-contained units, dormitories and even our bush-block sleep-outs.
Facilities
There is the main camp including the chapel, the Monavale cottages and the bush-block.
Catering
We only organise catering on behalf of schools - we can provide a contact for private groups and churches.
Arrivals and Departures
Bookings commence at 5pm on the day of arrival and finish (last car gone) by 2.30pm on the day of departure. Early arrivals and late departures can be arranged but will incur a partial day charge.
School groups - 10am arrival and 2pm departure.
Induction & Safety
Your safety on site is a priority for us. So when planning your programme, please allow 10-20 minutes for a Risk Disclosure meeting between the camp organiser and the Camp Manager, and approximately 15 minutes for a safety briefing for the entire group.
We gratefully ask you to keep the camp noise curfew of 10pm.
Duties
You can opt out of duties and we'll do them for you. But normally all campers will be expected to do duties as part of their stay at camp. It's character-building - and it keeps the price down.
Full instructions for duties will be provided at camp.
Duties include:
• Meal set-up
• Meal Clean-up
• Dishwashing
• Cleaning of ablutions
Clean up
Please allow time in your programme for your final clean up unless you choose the Pack and Walk Away option.
The Pack and Walk Away option means that on your final day all you have to do is pick up litter, return all furniture and equipment to its original place and tidy up. The cleaning will then be done after you have left. The downside is that there is an additional charge for this.
