Main Camp
The main camp houses the dining room and lounge areas, with dorms and a break out space on the bottom floor. The cabins are just a short walk from the main building. A large lounge area adjoins the dining room and a smaller lounge just off the main area, separated by a sliding door when required, ideal as a small break out room or for organisers to use as their command post.
The dining room can comfortably seat 120, but larger groups of up to 200 can be seated by using the lounge area in conjunction with the dining room.
Chapel
Once a schoolroom, moved to the camp several years ago, the chapel can easily seat 80, and there are sufficient chairs for this purpose. Without chairs, more can be seated on the floor.
There is a small moveable stage, and guests may use the data projector and sound system by arrangement.
The chapel is accessed from the main building by a covered walkway and has a parking area adjacent to the building, accessed from Turner Rd.
Rec Room
This is a separate space of about 65m2 with a deck accessed through a ranch slider overlooking the lake. There is a competition quality table tennis table and is a great space for rough and tumble indoor games. The Rec Room is a useful space for all indoor activities and provides an indoor break out space for all types of groups.
Bush Huts
A short walk from camp, up in the bush, is another accommodation option – the bush huts. The four properties each sleep 24 people and are serviced by one flushing toilet in its own housing. It is possible to set up a temporary kitchen area in a small marquee or large tent and be self-sufficient, or guests can opt to walk back to camp for meals and activities. The bush huts are an asset to any camp as they offer an opportunity to rotate guests between outdoor living and the “home comfort” of the cottages, cabins and dormitories.
Monavale Cottages
Just along Turner Rd, past the main building, is Gate 5, the entrance to Monavale Cottages. Separate from the main camp, Monavale Cottages are nestled behind the bush and are ideal for smaller groups. The cottages are suitable for smaller self-contained camps or for accommodating teachers and parent helpers during school camps, when a child-free environment complete with refreshments provide a welcome respite from the busyness of camp, allowing people to recharge their batteries.
Each cottage has a fridge, microwave and 2 electric hot plates. Cottage 4 has a small commercial electric oven for use by self-catering groups. These 2 bedroom units each have one bedroom with 2 twin beds in it and a larger bedrooms with a set of bunk beds and another 2 twin beds, which can be zipped together to make a king-size bed. Each cottage can sleep 7-8 people. There is a toilet and washbasin in one bathroom and a toilet, basin and shower cubicle in the other.
The cottages are equipped with essential crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils and equipment. Linen is available but is an additional charge and has to be arranged when booking.
This area has an adjoining meeting room between Cottage 3 and Cottage 4, seating around 40 and suitable for small conferences or training sessions. There is lounge furniture in each cottage and also in the adjoining room.
Guests can choose self-catering or take advantage of the fully catered option and use the dining facilities in the main camp building.
